To begin this recipe, pour 1 box (16.5 oz) Duncan Hines Classic Yellow cake mix into a large mixing bowl.
Next, add 1 cup of All Purpose flour to the bowl.
Add 1 cup of granulated sugar.
Add 3/4 teaspoon of salt to the bowl.
Add 1 box (3.4 ounce size) Jello brand Banana Cream Instant Pudding to the bowl.
Use a wire whisk to mix and fluff the ingredients together. Be sure to break up any clumps. Set dry ingredients bowl aside.
In a small bowl, add 3 whole large eggs.
Next, add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the bowl.
Peel 1 very ripe banana. Mash banana with a fork and add to the bowl.
Add 1 cup of full fat sour cream to the bowl.
And add 1 1/3 cups of water to the bowl.
Using a wire whisk, mix all wet ingredients together.
Next, pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients bowl.
Use an electric hand mixer to blend all ingredients together until well mixed. Be careful not to over mix the batter.
For cupcakes, bake at 350 degrees until done.
For cakes, bake at 325 degrees until done.
